It contests the commonly held "Out of Asia direct" hypothesis and replaces it with an "Out of Asia via America" model, which fits more perfectly with recent genetic information showing an exodus from Asia between 6-8,000 years ago. The complexities of multiple arrivals of people in Oceania from as far afield as the Persian Gulf is also explored. The site also debunks the Lapita/Polynesian connection once believed to be the key to Polynesian origins.
